The Imprunetino Vase derives from the city of the same name Impruneta famous for the centuries-old tradition of terracotta, the material used by Brunelleschi for the construction of its famous dome. The fame of Impruneta terracotta derives from various factors such as the very high quality of the clay and the presence of important woods which, in the beginning, were the source of fuel for the various furnaces.
